Hoping to experience a cosplay ball? Well, Ballare is the place to be! Chateau is back with it's second run of Ballare after a pretty successful one last year. More exciting news from me is that I will be one of the voices of the night, your emcee along with Kid. So do look forward to a very fruitful evening. We promise to entertain and ensure that your money is well-spent (ie. we will not allow you to waste your night away sitting at the side).
Am very excited for my cosplan for this ball and I hope I have enough push-up bras to make it decent hahaha. Hint: Thorns and boobs.
What is Ballare?
"Ballare is a formal cosplay ball event held by Chateau. The ball includes ballroom dancing, lucky draws and awards accompanied by light refreshments and a buffet style dinner."
Pretty straight-forward right? But I can assure you that the experience speaks for itself.
Here's what you need to know!
- Strictly formal! They take attire and etiquette(especially safety against harassment) very seriously. So don't be coming in with slipper or sport shoes!
- Strictly pre-order tickets. It's a ball, not a generic cosplay event you can just "walk into". You can only purchase the tickets via online registry. So do remember to register on time!
- Dance sessions. Of course, you should expect formal dances at a ball but don't worry if you didn't attend with a partner. You should use this as an opportunity to socialize and ask for a dance!
- You pay for an experience. The ticket fees might be a little intimidating (understandable) but I believe that if anything, investing in experience is worth the money. You're not only paying for the food and the ballroom, you're also paying for a social formal ball experience.
- Ballare's Grand Hosts! Interestingly enough, they have a bunch of friendly bishounens who will be there to guide and dance with the guests. So yay! I don't have to worry about being partner-less hahaha.
- Grand March. It's an opening walk where everyone is encouraged to join in to officiate the start of the event.
